Ochazuke is a Japanese dish made by pouring green tea or sprinkle it over rice. Maiko's original Ochazuke-salt allows you to enjoy this delicious dish by simply pouring some 'BuBu O-cha tsuke' and hot water over rice. The Baachan-Kayu is a porridge (kayu) made from Japanese rice, with a slight hint of maccha and wild plants from Japanese mountains to add substance. Both the ochazuke and okayu make perfect light meals, for example after consuming alcoholic beverages.

A perfect blend of wild plants and green tea, both grown with abundant spring water from the valley near Fugenji Temple in Kyotanabe City, with a finishing touch of specially made arare (rice crackers) adding to the flavour. Please try Maiko's original ochazuke.

Chako's Comment
My father loves this ochazuke and says that it is perfect after a
drink. He especially favours the fragrance of the wild plants, and
arare (rice crackers). It makes my mouth water, just watching him eat!
