agriculture and forestry fishery promotion committee. ( Only 12 people nationwide
received this pize.) For the second time receiving first prize in the gyokuro
green tea catagory of the national tea competition from Japan's Minister of Agriculture,
Forestry and Fisheries. |

Because
of Mr.Yamashita's achievements his hometown Kyotanabe is now renowned for the
production of superior Gyokuro and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries
prize has been awarded many times to tea producers of this area. Other than
the above, Mr. Yamashita also won the "Minister of Agriculture, Forestry
and Fisheries" first prize for the Kansai region for 11 times. |
